Why Cleanse?

There are many reasons people find themselves doing a juice cleanse. Many times it’s to lose weight, kick start better eating habits, supplement your body with nutrients, and give your body a well deserved rest! While the weight loss and changing habits are all nice bonuses, really the reason why juicing is so great for you is to let your digestion relax for once. The process of extracting all of the amazing nutrients from fruits and vegetables and delivering them right to your body without having to do any works lets your digestive tract  recover. There really isn’t a more efficient way to fast track those vitamins and minerals into your body. Whatever reason you may have for wanting to do a cleanse is great, and you’ll get so many more added benefits that you may not have expected. 

Format

Everyone’s lifestyle and goals are different, so I’ve put together two different formats for your cleanse.

You can do these cleanses for any length of time.

Popular lengths are 3, 5, or 7 days.

All Juice

5 Juices per Day

This cleanse is basically as it sounds! Consume only juice during this version. You may have coffee or tea as well, but try not to go too crazy with the caffeine as you’re trying to give your body a rest from all that stuff! When choosing your flavors, I try to stick with one fruit juice, two veggie juices, and two green juices per day. This way you’ll get a variety of fruits and vegetables.  

Some Juice

3 Juices, 1 Smoothie,1 Meal per day

If it seems too drastic for you to only drink juice and nothing else, then this is the plan for you! You can still get amazing benefits without going all out.  I recommend three juices throughout the day, a smoothie, and one plant based meal.  This is a great way to ease into your first cleanse.  I’d recommend choosing one fruit, veggie, and green juice per day for diversity.
